Welcome to the Bert Family Doodles! We’re Kathy & Scott, and we’re thrilled to share our love for Doodles with you. Our current pack includes our loyal companions Jake, Penny, and Molly, and we’re excited to introduce them (and our growing family of 4 grandchildren) to the world of Doodles.
Our journey with Doodles
Our journey with Doodles began in 2011 when Ginger, a sweet 4-year-old F1 Goldendoodle, came into our lives. She was the perfect fit for our family, and we were blessed to have her with us for 12 wonderful years. In 2018, we welcomed Jake, our playful white F1 Goldendoodle, and from there, our passion for raising Doodles truly took off. We produced two litters with Jake and our daughter’s Labradoodle, Harper, and quickly became hooked on the joy of raising these amazing dogs.
In early 2021, Penny, our gorgeous F1b Standard Goldendoodle, joined our family. Since then, she and Jake have had two litters together. And in early 2023, we welcomed Molly, our light brown F1b Labradoodle, into the fold. So far, she and Jake have produced two litters of their own, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
Why Choose Our Puppies?
At Bert Family Doodles, we’re not just breeding puppies – we’re nurturing future family members! Our puppies are raised right in our home, surrounded by the sights, sounds, and activities of a bustling family. This means they’re already comfortable with everyday life and ready to transition smoothly into your home.
From about 3 weeks of age, we start introducing potty training with a peepad-lined litterbox, and by 5 weeks, our puppies are outside learning to go potty in their designated area. This early potty training makes the transition to their new homes easier for everyone!
But it doesn’t stop there – we believe in enriching our puppies’ lives. We provide stimulating toys, activities, and experiences that promote their development, making them well-rounded and ready to adapt to new environments. Plus, we introduce them to grooming early on. Bath time, nail trimming, and coat care are all part of their early experiences, so they’re well-prepared for grooming salons when the time comes.
Our adult dogs are groomed in the same area where the puppies spend their time, so they get used to the sounds and activities around grooming – making it a less stressful experience for them in the future.
